Hi. I’m J.J. - I’m thrilled to know that my Dad has done something good! That something turned out to be writing a book.
Anyway, I have been told by my dad that I’m quite good at writing, but my dream is to become a famous actress, singer and dancer.
Everyone has a dream and that is mine. Remember my name J.J. (Jessica Jolleys)
You never know you might see me on the front page of “The Stage” J.J. steps into the spotlight.

My Biography
(in brief)
I was born in West Yorkshire. My Dad looked after me during the daytime when I was small, because my Mum was a teacher. I now live and go to school in East Yorkshire. Now I’m 11 and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I go to Stagecoach, where I have played the part of Scrooge in A Christmas Carol and Puck in a Midsummer Night’s Dream. Also I have been Mad eye Moody from Harry Potter.
I’m trying my hardest to do well. All you can do is your best. If you put in the effort, hopefully some day you will succeed.
The instruments I play.
I love music, these are the instruments I play:
Piano: on grade 3
Flute: on grade 4
Trumpet: on grade 2
Drums: on grade 1
Saxophone: on grade 1
I can play the chorus on the guitar from Smoke on the Water and a few other bits and pieces, but I would like to get better on the guitar.
I also do singing, but I’m too busy to do any grades on that at the moment!
Another thing I like to do is dance. I have completed my Salsa bronze medal. The same with Hip hop. I also have a ballet silver medal.
The last thing is acting. I have completed my Grade 2 Poetry and Prose. I have just done my Grade 1 Acting.
My other hobbies
I have a passion for Rock Climbing. I go to a local climbing wall and can complete level 5c.
I also like drawing. I’m not that good at it. Really it depends on what I have to draw. One thing I like about it is that I can just lift up a pencil and draw whatever is in my mind at that second. But I really did enjoy drawing the pictures on the front cover of my dad’s book.
And I really do hope that you like The Sword of Davalon.

Well I was born over in Manchester in 1954. I have two brothers, Mark and Paul, and a sister, Susan – and we get on really great. My most boring job was as chief cashier in a bank when I was only 18. My most enjoyable job was working at the jewellers Saqui and Lawrence in Manchester – I met some lovely people. But one of the best things I ever did was to go to college/university. I had a wonderful time and gained a Bachelor of Education – so I am a qualified teacher although I found teaching to be a very, very difficult job. Now I am a writer – to me it is like a hobby, and when I actually get down to it then I love it. And I sincerely hope that you enjoy my books – they were written to be enjoyed!
